珊瑚礁委员会(IABO Coral Reef Committee)是国际生物海洋学协会的分支机构,该委员会负责组织定期的珊瑚礁讨论会或学术大会。珊瑚礁委员会由25位国际科学家组成,每次国际会议结束时选举新的委员会成员,新选出的主席负责下一次的讨论和选新的委员。 1985年5月27日至6月1日在南太平洋法属波里尼西亚塔西堤岛首府的帕皮特(Papeate)召开了第五届国际珊瑚礁大会。新的现任主席是澳大利亚矿物资源局海洋地学部的Peter Davies博士,委员会成员共25位已公布,我国国家海洋局第一海洋研究所副所长吴宝铃教授再次当选为国际珊瑚礁委员会委员。第六届国际珊瑚礁学术会议将于1988年8月8—12日在澳大利亚汤斯维尔Townsville举行。
The IABO Coral Reef Committee is an affiliate of the International Society of Bio-Oceanography, which organizes regular coral reef seminars or conferences. The Coral Reef Commission, comprising 25 international scientists, will elect new members of the Commission at the end of each international conference and the newly elected chair will be responsible for the next discussion and election of new members. From May 27 to June 1, 1985, the Fifth International Coral Reef Conference was held in Papeate, the capital of Taciti, French Polynesia, in the South Pacific. The new incumbent, Dr Peter Davies, of the Australian Department of Ocean Resources, Bureau of Oceanology, Australia, announced that 25 members of the committee have announced that Professor Wu Baoling, deputy director of the First Institute of Oceanography of China’s State Oceanic Administration, has been re-elected as an International Coral Reef Commission member. The 6th International Conference on Coral Reefs will be held August 8-12, 1988 in Townsville, Townsville, Australia.
