泥金彩漆是宁波传统工艺“三金”之一,它以中国生漆和金箔为主要原料,是一种泥金和彩漆相结合的漆器工艺,造型独特、技艺精湛,用途广泛,堪称全国民间工艺一绝。目前全国仅宁波宁海县还保留此项传统手工艺。2010年6月,泥金彩漆入选第三批国家级非物质文化遗产名录。宁波地区的泥金彩漆历史悠久。河姆渡遗址出土的有7000多年历史的木胎朱漆碗就是佐证。唐代高僧鉴真出使到日本,也从宁波带去佛像、生活用具及其他漆饰等泥金彩漆作品,对日本的民间漆艺发展有重大的影响。
