我国水稻田面积约为5亿亩,稻田杂草种类多、数量大、危害重。开展高活性、低成本、安全有效的除草剂单混用研究,有巨大的潜在价值。在磺酰脲类除草剂得到应用后,针对其除稗活性低的问题,我们用常规除稗剂做过多种混用试验,杀草谱的缺欠虽得到弥补,但成本也随之升高,成为进一步推广的限制因素。都尔是瑞士汽巴-嘉基公司开发的酰胺类早地除草剂。5年来,经过数十次多点试验和示范表明,都尔在水田对稗草、一年生莎草和多年生牛毛毡亦有较好的防效,我们将都尔与多种除草剂反复进行混配试验,发现它与磺酰脲类除草剂(农得时等)混用,不但除草效果好、杀革谱扩大,且安全性好,降低成本1/3～1/2。
