为了防御后季稻抽穗开花期的低温危害,上海市气象局与上海县气象站、马桥公社气象哨协作,于九月中旬在俞塘大队开展了一系列灌水调温的各种农业气象试验。并通过大用实践,初步得出灌水升温的观测数据:在下午五时左右灌9~11厘米的深水,晴天时可以提高穗部气温3℃多,阴天时可以提高2℃多,在雨天可以提高1℃多。
