吴芝圃,河南省杞县人。1925年3月加入中国共产主义青年团,同年12月,转为中国共产党正式党员。在新民主主义革命时期,曾先后任中共河南省委组织部部长、豫皖苏军区副政委等职。新中国成立后,历任河南省人民政府主席、省长、河南省委书记、第二书记、第一书记、中南局书记处书记。1967年10月病故。近年笔者多次采访吴芝圃家人、身边工作人员和河南省有关同志。
Wu Zhi Pu, Qi County, Henan Province. March 1925 joined the Chinese Communist Youth League, the same year in December, became a full member of the Chinese Communist Party. During the period of the new-democratic revolution, he successively served as minister of Organization Department of Henan Provincial Party Committee and deputy political commissar of Soviet Union, Henan and Anhui. After the founding of New China, he served successively as Chairman and Governor of Henan Provincial People’s Government, Secretary of Henan Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Second Secretary, Secretary of the First Secretary and Secretary of the Central South Branch. October 1967 died. In recent years, I repeatedly interviewed Wu Zhi Pu family, staff and colleagues in Henan Province.
