朗讯科技公司宣布,其已与中国联通签署了价值超过2.3亿美元的CDMA(码分多址)移动网络扩展协议。根据这一系列协议,在中国联通第三阶段扩展的初始阶段部分,朗讯将为中国联通六个省市自治区的分公司提供CDMA2000(R)设备。这些省市自治区为内蒙古、辽宁、山东、上海、浙江和广东。该协议显示了中国联通与朗讯科技之间的持续合作。通过这次扩展,中国联通将大大提高其网络容量及覆盖范围,从而提高网络质量。中国联通还将能够为其用户提供多种增值数据服务,如视频点播、即时流播视频以及高速移动互联网接入。
Lucent Technologies announced that it has signed a CDMA (Code Division Multiple Access) mobile network extension agreement with China Unicom worth more than 230 million U.S. dollars. Under the series of agreements, Lucent will provide CDMA2000 (R) equipment to the branches of six provinces and autonomous regions of China Unicom during the initial phase of the third phase of China Unicom’s expansion. These provinces are Inner Mongolia, Liaoning, Shandong, Shanghai, Zhejiang and Guangdong. The agreement shows the ongoing cooperation between China Unicom and Lucent Technologies. Through this expansion, China Unicom will greatly enhance its network capacity and coverage, thereby enhancing the quality of the network. China Unicom will also be able to offer its customers a variety of value-added data services such as video on demand, live streaming video and high-speed mobile Internet access.
