在世界5个核大国中,美、苏、中、英研制的第一艘核潜艇均为核动力攻击型潜艇,法国研制的第一艘核潜艇却是弹道导弹核潜艇。1965年,法国国防计划明确认为,部署携带核武器的轰炸机是不够的,存在致命弱点,法国有必要把弹道导弹部署在核潜艇上。然而,早在上世纪50年代中期就决定研制的法国第一艘核潜艇直到上世纪70年代初才投入使用,水面排水量只有2600多吨,成为世界上最小的核潜艇。
Among the five nuclear powers in the world, the first nuclear submarine developed by the United States, the Soviet Union, China and Britain is a nuclear-attack submarine.
