衡阳县金兰寺镇联江村共有山塘101口,养鱼水面72.0亩,自1987年推广山塘养鱼高产模式以来,连续5年亩产过500kg,居全县前列。总结他们的养鱼经验有三条: 一、良好的池塘条件是夺取养鱼高产的前提自1987年以来,该村从鱼塘承包款中开支2.1万元,用工31000个,改造高产鱼塘62.9亩,占总水面的86.4％,清除了池塘渗漏、塌陷现象。每年动用1千工日清除池塘淤泥,或掺人头摊派,或从鱼塘承包款中开支,承包给养鱼户,消除了塘泥淤积现象。干旱季节,粮渔并举,合理调剂。
