广州市西关外国语学校“小荷”文学社诞生于1992年金秋,是由团委、语文科组织的文学爱好者社团,其宗旨是繁荣校园文化,陶冶学生情操,培养文学新人,为建设“书香校园”做出应有贡献。“小荷”文学社于1997年就荣获了“广州市优秀文学社十佳”称号,现为广州市中学生文联成员。小荷,寓意着初放的小荷,充满生机,充满活力,这正似小荷文学社的每一位社员,努力地求索进取,如夏日小荷般,沐浴在文学的阳光之中。22年来,这株“小荷”在辛勤的团丁和社员们的心血浇灌
