Under the statutory standard in the United States, how to put forward the issue of insect pests in food has become a hot topic after the establishment of the Federal Grain Inspection Bureau in 1976 and the establishment of a grain standard regulation. The controversial issue is the long-term statutory provision that allows live insects in food and attempts to revise the inspection process by the Federal Cereal Inspection Bureau and more accurately reflect the degree of insect infestation in food.
