“美”是需要推荐的。在上海龙华烈士陵园我曾与小学生邂逅,一起瞻仰时得到这个命题。知“美”不易,得到“美”更难,不受教育懂“美”,我认为是没有可能的。“真”不一定美,“善”也不同于美,“美”却是真、善的结合,“美”算得是人类文明的主体。 如此认识或许不会偏颇,现今大家都在谈论“美育”,要用“美”来育人,就是极好的佐证。这里套用一句古话,来扯谈“美”与“育”的关系:美者,育之资也;
“Beauty” is to be recommended. In the mausoleum of Shanghai Longhua Martyrs I met with primary school students, get together to pay tribute to this proposition. It is not easy to know “beauty”, harder to get “beauty”, and “beautiful” without education. I think it is impossible. “True” is not necessarily beautiful, “good” is different from beauty, “beauty” is a combination of true and good, and “beauty” counts as the main body of human civilization. Such understanding may not be biased. Nowadays everyone is talking about “aesthetic education.” To educate people with “beauty” is an excellent example. Here is the use of an old saying here to talk about the relationship between “beauty” and “education.”
