绘画进入到当代,成为最不容易突破的领域。一是绘画历史悠久,形成各种传统,给人许多的范例和模式:一是绘画与新兴的艺术媒介比较,经常受到人们的疑虑,也就是经常将绘画置于被取代的危机论中。事实上,作为极具视觉表达能力的绘画在整个20世纪后八、九十年代,特别是在当代颇有大举回潮的气势,这就是绘画的复兴。但是复兴的概念不是立足于传统语境中的旧有模式,特别是在中国近代强烈的绘画情结
