袁培德，３９岁，浙江宁海人。先后就职于海宁报和海宁市文联等单位，后开设“袁培德工作室”。其摄影作品曾入选比利时国际影展，在“ＨＰＡ”国际影赛中获奖，在日本国际影赛中获得铜奖，在印度国际影赛荣获金奖。１９９８年初到北京中国民俗摄影协会工作，曾任编辑出版委员会副主任。他在２０００年２月春节后一天，只身离开了北京，背上心爱的相机，实施个人徒步西部万里行活动。历时３个多月，途径甘肃、四川、西藏、云南４省１９个少数民族地区。徒步３３００多公里，拍摄了一万多张照片。这其间曾经在海拔５０００多米的雪山上滚落下来，曾经在荒山上“与狼共舞”，曾经在山体滑坡中死里逃生，也曾倒在雪域高原，是藏民用马把他救下山来……。 一组组用生命换来的文字和照片，让我们看到的不仅仅是作者的勇气。它饱含着作者对祖国、民族同胞的热爱。本刊将以连载的形式介绍袁培德的摄影纪实──走进西部。
Yuan Peide, 39 years old, Zhejiang Ninghai. Has worked for Haining newspaper and Hualin Literary Federation and other units, after the opening of “Yuan Peide studio.” His photography has been selected for the Belgian International Film Festival, won the “HPA” International Film Festival, won the bronze medal at the Japan International Film Festival and won the gold medal at the International Film Festival in India. On the day after the Spring Festival in February 2000, he left Beijing alone, carrying his beloved camera and practicing his own personal hiking on the western part of the country. Lasted more than three months, the way Gansu, Sichuan, Tibet, Yunnan 4 provinces 19 ethnic minority areas. More than 3,300 km walk, more than 10,000 photos were taken. During this time, it had rolled down over an altitude of more than 5,000 meters in the snow-capped mountains. Once on the barren hills, “dancing with the wolves” once escaped from the landslide in the mountains and fell to the snow-covered plateau. Come down ... Let us see more than just the author’s courage in a group of texts and photos in life. It is full of the author’s love of the motherland and national compatriots.
