1993年3月,北京。 八届全国人大会议期间,全国人大代表、山西运城九针医院院长、九针专家周秋芳为与会代表巡回义诊,祛除了许多领导和同志们的疾患,受到大家的一致赞誉。当时的山西省省长、现省委书记胡富国同志了解到九针疗法方法简便,费用低廉且疗效显著后,便语重心长地对她讲:“省城是老干部很集中的地方,你们能不能在太原设个点,更好地为老同志们服务。”
