在一个相对稳定或卡特尔式的环境中,快速执行新计划并不是取得成功的关键因素。而如今的问题是,这种稳定性已经不存在了。大多数专家都认为,在未来的几十年中,公司环境还会更加动荡。无论从哪个方面来衡量,在过去20多年中,各种组织的重大变革次数都显著增加。尽管有些人预言说,公司的流程再造、战略调整、兼并收购、精简裁员、质量改善、文化再造等工具中的大部分都会很快消失,但是,我认为这种可能性很小。强大的宏观经济因素正在发挥着重要的作用,在未来的几十年内,它们的作用还将变得越来越强大。这将促使越来越多的公司降低成本,改善产品和服务质量,寻找新的增长机会并提高生产率。
In a relatively stable or Cartelist environment, rapid implementation of the new plan is not a key success factor. The problem nowadays is that this kind of stability no longer exists. Most experts agree that the corporate environment will be more turbulent in the coming decades. In any case, the number of major changes in various organizations has increased significantly in the past two decades or so. Although some predict that most of the tools such as process reengineering, strategic adjustment, mergers and acquisitions, downsizing, quality improvement, and cultural rebuilding will soon disappear, I do not see this as a possibility. Strong macroeconomic factors are playing an important role, and their role will become stronger and stronger in the coming decades. This will drive more and more companies to reduce costs, improve the quality of their products and services, find new growth opportunities and increase productivity.
