In order to make it easier for users to copy files to PCs, the international hardware and software giants have to create standards to help users to copy files to PCs, international software and hardware giants jointly set standards. To alleviate the pain of users copying data to new PCs, a few days ago, Intel, IBM, Microsoft formed alliances with several other hardware and software vendors. The alliance, known as the PC Migration Work Group, will work to reduce the time and effort required to move data and personal settings from one PC to another. Setting up a new PC to replace an old PC typically requires one person to spend at least several hours. Setup work includes transferring word processing documents and emails between new and old machines
