Diesel engine at low load operation, the degradation of the cylinder corrosion medium dew point temperature will damage the cylinder liner. In order to discuss the dependence of dew point temperature on the starting point of combustion, the cylinder wall temperature and the dew point temperature of pure water vapor were calculated with MTU956 supercharged engine as an example. At low load, with the early start of combustion, the risk of damage to the liner increases due to the dew point temperature, especially in the upper part of the liner.
