Traditional villages and towns are an important carrier of Chinese traditional culture, a living fossil of Chinese native culture, a prerequisite and safeguard for “keeping nostalgia”, inheriting local civilization and building beautiful countryside. Today, the important significance and value of protecting traditional villages and towns have been widely recognized by all walks of life. The government has promulgated relevant protection systems, laws, regulations and policies and measures, and people’s enthusiasm for participating in the protection of traditional villages and towns is also on the rise. How to promote the collaborative protection and development of traditional Chinese villages and towns under the background of new urbanization, deeply tap the social and cultural values of traditional villages and towns, and coordinate various fields of study, various government departments and the general public
