The biological activity of prostaglandins is very extensive. It affects the synthesis of cAMP, platelet aggregation, lipid metabolism, and hormone secretion. Therefore, it is considered to be involved in the regulation of radiation damage, especially the regulation of hematopoiesis. It has been shown to inhibit the proliferation of hematopoietic cells and have a stimulatory effect on the differentiation of CFU-S. In vitro, prostaglandins inhibit the growth of targeted hematopoietic stem cells. To elucidate the role of prostaglandins in hematopoietic radiation sickness syndrome, the authors studied the effect of prostaglandin biosynthesis on hematopoietic recovery in irradiated mice. The experiment used 520 F1 hybrid male mice (CBA and C5781 hybrids) weighing 24-26 g. One shot of 60 Co-γ rays 6 or 7 Ge
