甜菜雄性不育多倍体杂交种“工农303”系以雄性不育系M203A为母本,四倍体品系404为父本,4:1田间测交制种,三倍体率达75%以上.母本经4代连续回交,不育率逐步稳定在90%以上。父本经多代选择表现产质量稳定。两年自治区品种区域试验,平均产量较工农4号提高17.6%,含糖率提高1.6%,产糖量提高31.8%;大面积生产示范(1989年)产量较对照提高45.6%,含糖低0.2%,产糖量提高43.5%,且抗病性较强。
