本文试图探讨英语与汉语之间的关系,说明英语对汉语的发展和走向世界有促进的作用,英语与汉语要在交流中共同发展。因此,英语和汉语界的人士应加强联系,共同研究教学中的问题,才能切实提高教学质量。近来,社会上有些人大谈“英语热”影响了母语即汉语的教学,因而提出以降低英语提高汉语在高考中的分值来刺激学生学习语文的积极性。当然,在当今功利主义盛行时期,这一招会有一定效果。然而,我对于这一建议的出发点难以赞同,对用这种方法能否达到促进汉语教学的目的,我也持怀疑的态度。
This article attempts to explore the relationship between English and Chinese, indicating that English can promote the development of Chinese and the world. English and Chinese should develop together in the exchange. Therefore, people in English and Chinese should strengthen their contact and jointly study problems in teaching so as to effectively improve their teaching quality. Recently, some people in the community talked about how hot English affects the teaching of mother tongue, that is, teaching Chinese. Therefore, it is proposed that students should be motivated to learn English better by lowering their English score in the college entrance examination. Of course, in the prevailing period of utilitarianism, this move will have some effect. However, I find it hard to agree on the starting point for this proposal. I am also skeptical of the possibility of using this method to promote teaching Chinese.
