2012年5月11日,徐州市社科联召开徐州市社会科学工作大会,徐州市钱币学会被授予“2010-2011年度先进学会”称号。2010年初,学会总结了新世纪以来以科学发展观为指导思想建会的历史经验,按照《章程》加强组织建设,调整、充实秘书处,在市社科联和省学会的领导下,以学术研究为重点,以“振兴徐州,繁荣社科事业,弘扬钱币文化”为主题,积极开展学术研究,以会刊《徐州钱币》
