Breeding of a new cotton variety “Su-mian 15” is a major scientific and technological project for agriculture in the Ninth Five-Year Plan of Jiangsu Province. This variety was cultivated by a combination of agricultural sciences in coastal areas of Jiangsu Province (“Jihe 328” / “Simian 2”) / “Xuzhou 576”. In April 1999, it was approved by Jiangsu Province Crop Variety Approval Committee. Su cotton on the 15th performance as follows: 1 High yield outstanding. 19
