【1943年6月9日】尊作《白云山苍苍》一长幅(亦似本年新制,惟款未识年月),笔简意繁,丘壑无穷,勾勒生辣中,尤饶妩媚之姿,凝练浑伦,与历次所见吾公法绘,另是一种韵味。前周又从默飞处借归大制五、六幅,悬诸壁间,反复对晤,数日不倦。笔墨幅幅不同,境界因而各异,郁郁苍苍,似古风者有之;蕴藉婉委,似绝句小令者亦有之。妙在巨帙不尽繁复,小帧未必简略。苍老中有华滋,浓厚处仍有灵气浮动,线条驰纵飞舞,二三笔直抵千万言。此其令人百观不厌也。尊论尚法、变法对师古人不若师造化云云,实千古不灭之理。征诸近百年来西洋画
