热带土在我国分布很广,从北方沉积土的工程实践中取得的经验并不完全适用于解决热带土的土工问题。本文介绍了热带土的定义、性质的特殊性、已取得的工程实践经验和主要研究成果。
Tropical soils are widely distributed in China. The experience gained from the engineering practice of the sedimentary soils in the north is not entirely suitable for solving geotechnical problems in tropical soils. This article describes the definition of tropical soils, the particularities of their properties, and their engineering experience and major research results.
