据山西稷山县卫生局讯中医研究院农村疾病研究所的同志于去年十二月五日到达稷山,受到当地党政领导的热烈欢迎。他们到县后,没有顾上休息,马上就投入紧张的防治疾病的工作。除留少数人处理所内日常工作,一部份人参加县医院的工作外,大部份同志奔赴农村第一线,到翟店、化峪、西位、吴嘱等公社或大队卫生院、所工作和巡回医疗,采用简、验、廉的办法,为广大农民兄弟服务。由于他们在工作中突出政治,克服困难,千方百计的为贫下中农防病治病,据不完全统计,仅短短十多天就医治三千多人次,抢救危重病人十几例,得到当地群众好评。他们在行动中做到了:
