This article outlines the reform of the UK National Health Service. In 1990, the health reform encouraged the internal market to operate and delegated authority to local supply and demand units. On the other hand, we have improved and revised the supervision and accountability mechanism, promulgated and implemented a number of measures to strengthen the central management system, and so on. However, due to the ever-increasing demand for health care, conflicts in the country’s health services and conflicts in policies have become more serious. This article outlines the reform of health services in the United Kingdom, and analyzes and discusses some of the contradictions and problems faced by health services in the country during the reform.
