Nabokov and Shklovsky both are Russian overseas writers and critics of Berlin in the 1920s. The two have similar destiny and fortune in expatriate life and literary activity, and constitute potential poetic dialogue and exchange in the concrete creation and exploration of poetics. In the short story “Berlin Guide” and autobiographical novel “Zoo ”There are specific and subtle presentation. This kind of poetic dialogue shows that while echoing Shklovskii’s defamiliar aesthetic principle, Nabokov is more transcendental to formalist poetics.
