Barry J.Marshall(巴瑞·马歇尔)1951年9月30日,巴瑞·马歇尔(Barry J.Marshall)出生于西澳大利亚州卡尔古利市,毕业于西澳大利亚大学,并于1977年开始在皇家珀斯医院工作。1986年起,他前往美国弗吉尼亚大学继续从事医学研究,10年后回到澳大利亚。如今,他在位于澳大利亚尼德兰兹的幽门螺杆菌研究实验室工作。2005年10月3日,瑞典卡洛斯林医院学宣布,把2005年诺贝尔生理医学奖授予马歇尔和他的合作伙伴罗宾·沃伦,以表彰他们发现了导致胃炎和胃溃疡的细菌——幽门螺杆菌。
Barry J. Marshall On September 30, 1951, Barry J. Marshall was born in Kalgoorlie, Western Australia and graduated from the University of Western Australia, Perth hospital work. Since 1986, he went to the University of Virginia to continue his medical research and returned to Australia 10 years later. Today, he works at Helicobacter pylori Research Laboratories in Nilandlands, Australia. On October 3, 2005, Karlslin Hospitals in Sweden announced that they awarded the 2005 Nobel Prize in Physiology and Medicine to Marshall and his partner, Robin Warren, in recognition of the discovery of bacteria that cause gastritis and gastric ulcer - Helicobacter pylori.
