Indirect determination of sinoatrial conduction time (SACT) by transesophageal atrial pacing is a valuable method for judging the function of the sinus node. The diagnosis of sick sinus syndrome (referred to as sick sinus), the diagnostic value of the various SACT determination method varies. This article analyzes the results of 75 different methods for the determination of SACT combined with clinical trials to explore its value.
