In recent years, under the leadership of Shanghai Construction (Group) Corporation, our company has adapted to the development of the market economy, seized the five structural adjustments of the company’s internal operations, organization, assets, profits and population, and transformed the mechanism to the third level. Restructuring and stripping were breakthroughs, and small steps were taken as a big step. They did not stop year after year, and they took a new step year by year. They promoted the establishment of a modern enterprise system and achieved remarkable results. The total number of employees was reduced from 7,551 at the end of 1991 to 4,652 at the end of June 1997.
