在世人心目中,修女个个温柔纤弱,似乎手无缚鸡之力。然而令人惊讶的是,英国伦敦近郊的一家修道院里的所有年轻修女,都练上了空手道。35岁的玛休修女披露,她们的修道院和邻近的街区近年来经常受到歹徒的骚扰——正是为了保护自己,她们聘请了一个来自韩国的教官,每天对她们进行一二个小时的空手道训练。说来也怪,当传出修道院的修女们个个“身手不凡”时,不法分子便再也不来冒犯了。
In the minds of the world, the sisters are gentle and delicate, seemingly helpless. Surprisingly, however, all the young nun in a monastery on the outskirts of London in England practiced karate. Sister Matthew, 35, disclosed that her monastery and neighborhoods have been regularly harassed by criminals in recent years - just to protect themselves, hired an instructors from South Korea to practice them for 12 hours of karate training each day . Strange to say, when the nuns who came out of the monastery each “extraordinary skill”, the lawless elements will no longer offended.
