The advantages of using a high voltage large current MOSFET to drive the electro-optic crystal to form a single-pulse selector are described in detail. The characteristics of the electro-optic crystal suitable for realizing a fast optical switch and the difficulties and corresponding solutions in manufacturing a MOSFET driving circuit are described. Experiments show that the selector can reach 5ns optical switching speed.
