下关子遗址出土遗物包括陶器、石器、骨器等。陶质有夹砂、泥质,颜色有黑褐、灰褐、灰、黑皮陶等。纹饰有绳纹、附加堆纹、戳印纹、齿状花边口沿和绳纹花边口沿装饰、瓦棱纹、交错绳纹、乳钉纹等。陶器以手制为主,部分经过慢轮修整加工,多数见刮抹痕迹。器形多平底和假圈足,其中罐最多,有侈口、鼓腹、长颈鼓腹、敛口、直口诸种,另有喇叭口壶形器、陶臼等。石器分打制和磨制,器型有刀、穿孔石刀、锛、斧、切割器、砍斫器、尖状器、盘状器等。骨器见有笄。与绵阳边堆山、江油大水洞等遗址的文化面貌基本一致,也与宝墩文化的某些因素相似,属于四川盆地的龙山时代考古学文化,年代距今约4800~4500年。遗址面积较大,属河谷台地型聚落遗址,是龙山时代四川盆地西北缘地区的一处中心聚落。

It is similar to some of the elements of Baodun Culture, belonging to the Longshan era archeology culture in Sichuan Basin, dating back to about 4800 ~ 4500 years ago. The site area is larger, is a river valley terraced settlements, is the Longshan era of the Sichuan Basin in the northwestern margin of a central settlement.
