在闻名全国的焦煤基地古交矿区东侧,屹立着一座设计生产洗选能力达400万吨的特大型现代化矿井——东曲煤矿。东曲煤矿于1991年12月建成投产,与矿井相配套的选煤厂1994年10月正式生产。矿井可采储量6.5亿吨,煤种有焦煤、瘦煤和贫煤。煤炭产品有焦精煤、优质动力煤、洗混煤等。由于含硫特低,被誉为环保型绿色煤炭,深受广大用户亲睐。 东曲矿自投产以来,两个文明建设有了长足的发展,先后被命名为质量标准化矿井、高产高效矿井、标准化选煤厂,获得了山西省“八个一工程双文明煤矿”、“太原市文明单位标兵”、“园林化单位“等荣誉称号。 几年来,东曲矿积极发扬“自强勤俭、创新高效”的企业精神,以效益为中心,以改革为动力,以科技为先导,以安全为保障,把责任法人制度作为目标管理体系,把素质工程建设作为管理的重要手段
