一般认为在反矫治中垫的主要作用是脱离锁结。本文通过对25例上颌垫矫治器矫治反病例加较大力和较小力时的牙齿受力情况及治疗效果的观察分析发现；垫在反矫治中的作用除脱离锁结等作用外，还有将力转换成矫治力的作用，这一作用加速了反的矫治。
