Objective: To investigate the possible role of CD4 + CD25 + regulatory T cells in hypertensive disorder complicating pregnancy. Methods: The number of CD4 + CD25 + regulatory T cells in peripheral blood of patients with gestational hypertension was detected by flow cytometry. The levels of TGF-β1 and IL-10 in peripheral blood of patients with epithelial ovarian cancer were measured by ELISA. Results: The proportion of CD4 + CD25 + T cells in peripheral blood of patients with gestational hypertension was significantly lower than that of normal pregnant women. The concentration of IL-10 in peripheral blood was significantly decreased and the concentration of TGF-β1 was significantly increased. Conclusion: CD4 + CD25 + regulatory T cells may play an important role in the pathogenesis of hypertensive disorder complicating pregnancy.
