2013 World Book Day, a set of data released by UNESCO is worth our reflection. There are 64 books per capita in Israel and 40 books per capita in Japan. The average annual reading of our country, which has a history of 5,000 years and a long history, is only 4.3 and includes textbooks. Our extracurricular reading can not but cause our attention. Good reading is better than reading a good book, reading better than reading a book. Liu Xiang said, “The book is still ubiquitous, and good reading can cure illiteracy.” Therefore, it is of great concern to all of our educators to improve the extracurricular reading quality of pupils.
