My first contact with Pu’er tea is not in China but in Kuala Lumpur, the capital of Malaysia. That was in August 1992. At the invitation of Mr. Chen Kai Xi, Chairman of Malaysia’s Seagull Group, I worked as a visiting scholar at the Mahua School of Pharmacy for a month to give lectures and consultations, and to popularize health education.
