21世纪将是科学技术飞速发展、充满机遇和挑战、更加激动人心的时代。总结20世纪物理学的发展,可以简单地说,它着重简化、归纳。另外,我们相信找到了最基本的粒子,就会了解大物质的构造,这个方向使我们获得了很大的成功。可是,到20世纪中叶,我们发现,不是光知道基本粒子就能完全了解整个宇宙的大问题,对称与不对称的矛盾,看不见的夸克、暗物质、类星体都在基本粒子之外。我猜21世纪的方向,要整体统一,微观的基本粒子要和宏观的真空构造、大型的量子态都结合起来,这些很可能是21世纪的研究目标。
The 21st century will be an era of rapid development of science and technology, full of opportunities and challenges, and more exciting. Summarizing the development of physics in the 20th century, we can simply say that it focuses on simplification and induction. In addition, we believe that finding the most basic particle and understanding the structure of the big material has given us great success. However, by the middle of the 20th century, we found that we can not fully understand the big problem of the entire universe without knowing the basic particles. The contradictions between symmetry and asymmetry, invisible quarks, dark matter, and quasars are all beyond the basic particles. I guess the direction of the 21st century should be unified as a whole. The microscopic basic particles should be combined with the macro vacuum structure and the large quantum state. These are most likely to be the objectives of the 21st century.
