吐哈盆地二叠系─三叠统和中上三叠统广泛发育冲积扇、河流、湖泊、扇三角洲、辫状河三角洲及曲流河三角洲相沉积。其中的中上三叠统辫状河三角洲前缘水下分流河道、扇三角洲前缘水下分流河道、辫状河河道砂坝及滨浅湖滩砂等相带是良好的储集砂体，其纵向发育和横向展布是今后油气田勘探的一个重要研究课题。
Permian-Triassic and Middle-Upper Triassic in the Turpan-Hami basin developed alluvial fans, rivers, lakes, fan deltaic, braided river delta and meandering river delta deposits. The middle and upper Triassic braided river delta front submarine distributary channel, the fan delta front underwater distributary channel, the braided river channel sand dam and the shore shallow lake beach sand facies are good reservoir sand body, Its longitudinal development and horizontal distribution are important research topics in the future exploration of oil and gas fields.
