目前我省已设立16个市,其中地级市6个,县级市10个;在自治州的县级市有7个,非自治地方的有6个地级市和3个县级市。16个城市总面积共15.7万平方公里,占全省总面积的40％,少数民族人口总数381.24万,占全省少数民族总数的26.98％。城市少数民族分布的特点,一是民族自治州的市少数民族人口比重较大,如大理市、瑞丽市、潞西市、景洪市、开远市,少数民族人口比例均超过50％;二是城市民族成份众多,全国55
