2008年,福建省政协委员、香港南益集团执行董事兼副总经理徐伟福先生荣任“香港福建希望工程基金会”第十四届基金会主席。这位素来淡泊名利、练达稳健、谦和低调的企业家,在隆重的就职典礼上,明确表达了自己的就职理念:“实实在在做善事,全心全意办教育。”今年4月30日,徐伟福先生期满卸任,在其短短的一年任期内,在基金会同仁和各界善长仁翁支持下,徐先生亲力亲为,出钱出力,实践了自己的就职诺言,还交出一份令人敬佩的优异成绩表:筹得善款总额港币2312万元;捐建国内贫困山区68所希望小学;资助贫困大学生69名;4次率团访问7个省区,近百个市(州)县,为46所希望小学落成剪彩……对自己任期内所做的工作,徐先生一再表示,虽然辛苦点,但感到所做的公益事,是自己人生中最有意义,也是最开心的。是的,善举是钱,是力,更是心,而不是名,多么难能可贵。心善、乐善、行善,正是徐伟福先生精彩人生的最大亮点。本文作者作为香港福建希望工程基金会访问团的成员,以亲身的经历、平实的笔触记录了两次随同徐伟福先生访问祖国大陆的所见所闻,也从另一个角度为我们展示了投身公益事业的艰辛与幸福。
