Joan Fontcuberta, born in Barcelona, Spain in 1955, nearly 60 years of photographer was awarded the Hasselblad Foundation International Award in Photography by the Hasseld Foundation in 2013, . In the presentation, he is known as the most pioneering photographer in his career. He has continuously explored and questioned the media attributes of photography in more than 30 years of his creative career. But rather than an idea photographer, Cuberta prefers to see himself as a contemporary artist who uses photography as a means of creation, and as a writer, editor, teacher and curator.
