提倡写短新闻是党报新闻改革的一个重要方面.多年来新闻界关于这方面的探索一直没有停止过,并提出了很多好建议.本文作者下了功夫,抽取人民日报19050期的第一版版面中共计1881个样本,作分类统计,形成了两幅图表,进而就党报反复强调写短文却反复出现`长风’的问题作了深入探讨.文章提出,我们`应当而且完全可以把文章写得短一些--‘以短见长’是报纸文章的上乘之作.’
