In this paper, we report the first direct measurement of ocean whitewave, foam and lacustrine flow with the frictional velocity of the sea surface. The empirical relationship between the ocean whitewrap coverage rate W_c and the sea surface friction speed U_ * is W_c = 1.34 × 10 ~ (- 5) U_ * ~ (1.93). This relationship supports the assertion that the whitewave coverage is proportional to the sea surface wind stress, which is significantly different from the physical analysis that the whitewave coverage is proportional to the third power of the friction velocity. Based on this empirical relationship The role of white waves in sea-air exchange is discussed.
