恰逢伟大的五四运动80周年纪念日来临之际,本刊记者在首都北京访问了当年曾经参加过五四运动的世纪老人、原全国人大常委会副委员长雷洁琼。 这是一个春光明媚的上午,在北京市中心一座公寓楼里,雷洁琼热情接待了我们。时年已经94岁的雷老精神矍铄,耳聪目明,步履稳健。采访话题自然是从80年前的五四运动开始。 提起发生在1919年5月4日的那场规模巨大的爱国运动,雷洁琼那深邃的目光显得更加明亮。她首先讲起五四运动爆发的起因。第一次世界大战结束后,美、英、法、日等帝国主义国家于1919年1月,在巴黎召开“和平会议”。
At the dawn of the 80th anniversary of the Great May Fourth Movement, our correspondents visited the elders of the century who had participated in the May 4th Movement in the capital Beijing and Lei Jieqiong, former vice chairman of the NPC Standing Committee. This is a beautiful spring morning, in an apartment building in downtown Beijing, Lei Jieqiong warmly received us. At the age of 94, Ray’s old man was shy, confident and steady. The interview topic naturally started from the May 4th Movement 80 years ago. Mentioning the huge patriotic movement that took place on May 4, 1919, Lei Jieqiong’s deep eyes look brighter. She first talked about the cause of the May Fourth Movement. After the end of the First World War, the imperialist countries such as the United States, Britain, France, Japan held a “peace conference” in Paris in January 1919.
