西藏高原生物研究所是1981年10月由西藏自治区人民政府批准成立的县级研究所,直接隶属于西藏自治区科委。研究所的前身是自治区科委科技处下设的一个研究室,即生物学研究室,该室成立于1979年6月。生物所人员编制为38人,现有科研技术人员和行政管理人员25人(藏族11名,汉族14名),其中科研技术人员20人。
The Tibetan Plateau Institute of Biology was a county-level institute approved by the Tibet Autonomous Region People's Government in October 1981 and directly affiliated to the Tibet Autonomous Region Science Commission. The predecessor of the institute is a research laboratory under the Science and Technology Department of the Science and Technology Commission of the autonomous region, namely the Biological Laboratory, which was established in June 1979. The institute has 38 staff members and 25 scientific research technicians and administrative staffs (11 in Tibetans and 14 in Han nationality), including 20 scientific and technical personnel.
