本文论述交际过程中的心理预期和英语修辞效果的相互关系。言语交际是受到语言使用常规制约的行为 ,内化的语言使用常规是心理定势。语言常规在交际者的心理上产生对语义结构演进的心理预期。偏离语言常规 ,打破心理预期 ,进而凸显特定信息 ,是英语辞格获取修辞的常见手法。但偏离常规要受到语境的制约 ,偏离常规运用辞格修辞的可接受性与偏离的适度性相辅相成 This article discusses the relationship between psychological expectations and the rhetorical effect of English in communication. Verbal communication is subject to the usual restrictions on the use of language behavior, internalization of language use is the psychological conventions. Language conventions produce psychological expectations of the semantic structure evolution in the communicator’s psychology. Deviating from language conventions, breaking psychological expectations, and then highlighting specific information, is a common practice in English rhetoric to obtain rhetoric. However, the deviation from the routine to be contextual constraints, deviation from the conventional use of rhetoric rhetoric admissibility and the appropriateness of deviation complement each other
