文艺以语言符号为媒介,使人的自身生命意识物化和对象化,这可摆脱现实的局限,建构起超越于现实的可能性世界。有了可能世界作为背景,人类就能够在想象中自由地重新构造现实世界。因此,文艺的本质不是再现生活中已有的东西,而是创造生活中没有的东西。文艺审美创造是对于物质生产实践活动的补偿,即以实践活动为基础的超越,是对于实践活动自身的有限性的扬弃或突破,使之象征性地突入无限的领域,向人类敞开一可能性的世界。
With the help of linguistic signs as a medium, literature and art can make people’s own life materialization and objectification, which can get rid of the limitations of reality and construct a world of possibility beyond the reality. With the possible world as a backdrop, humans can freely reconfigure the real world in their imagination. Therefore, the essence of literature and art is not to recreate what is already in life, but to create what is not in life. Aesthetic creation of literature and art is the compensation for the practical activities of material production, that is, the transcendence based on practical activities is the sublation or breakthrough of the finite nature of practical activities so as to make it symbolically penetrate into infinite fields and open up a possibility to human beings world.
